There's hope for Italy after all.

Italy

This blog is reporting that there may be some hope for Italians looking to compete in the Android Developer Challenge.

Acting as interpreter for us English speakers, cernIO points us to an article by Republica.it and a blog post by Guido Scorza,an IT law expert, both of which indicate there is hope for Italian devs because the Italian laws that are causing problems are easier to work around for engineering and creative prizes.

A Google translation of Mr. Scorza's post informs me that the exclusion for Italians was the "...result of a misunderstanding of discipline force in our country with regard to events in premium," which clarifies the situation greatly.
